Today I’m very lucky to be interviewing Cathryn Fox author of Wild Ride, 
Hi Cathryn, thank you for agreeing to this interview. Tell us a little about yourself 
and your background?
Hi there, thank you for having me. Well, I’m married, and a mother of two (use to 
be 3 but we recently lost our 13 year old chocolate lab..sniff). My son just 
graduated university and is now working at Microsoft in Seattle. I’m in Nova 
Scotia. Do you think he could get any farther from home? Sheesh! I think that 
was very well planned on his part! LOL My daughter still goes to university here 
so the poor kid gets double my attention.  I come from a financial background, 
graduated with an accounting and economics degree and went to work as a 
financial officer for the federal government. (shiver)Interestingly enough, I can 
barely balance a checkbook and perhaps that’s why I turned in the briefcase and 
calculator and began writing full time! 
So, what have you written?
(*Include books, novellas, short stories, poems, blogs, awards or anything of 
Oh my goodness. You name it! I have written quite a few novellas and full-length 
romance novels under Cathryn Fox. Close to 80, I believe. My backlist can be 
found on my website. www.cathrynfox.com I also write NEW ADULT ROMANCE 
under the name Cat Kalen. 
Let's talk about writing....
Do you write full-time or part-time? Full time.  I have a home office and put in a 
minimum of 40 hours a week. My husband is a shift worker so I can, and do, take 
time off during the weekdays to spend with him when the weekdays become his 
weekend, and when he works on weekends, I catch up.
Do you work to an outline or plot or do you prefer just see where an idea takes you?
I’m definitely a plotter. I usually write around a 6-7 page outline and blurb before 
I begin. That’s not to say I keep on track. Sometimes my characters lead me down 
another path. If it works I go for it, if not I go back to the outline. 
What was the hardest thing about writing your latest book?  Keeping the sex 
interesting. I write very spicy books, and I don’t ever want my readers to get 
bored with the intimate scene. I go to great lengths (I can’t really get in to that 
here, lol)  to make them fresh and innovative!  
Publishing & Promoting books is something each author has to do tell us 
about your process.....
Tell us about the cover on Wild Ride, who designed it and who is that model?
Heather Howland at Entangled is a GENIUS when it comes to covers. I love this 
one so much. It distracted me from writing for hours when I first received it. I 
don’t know who the model is but would love to see more of his work.  I think 
covers do play an important part in a readers buying decision. I know it’s the first 
thing that draws my attention, and then I read the blurb to decide. 
Let's talk about your interests...
Do you read much and if so who are your favorite authors.
Yes, huge reader! I read everything I can get my hands on. Right now I’m on an 
Entangled Brazen kick. Love Jan Meredith, Tessa Baily, Samantha Beck, Katee 
Roberts, Sarah Jane Stone.   
What book/s are you reading at present?
I actually just received four Brazen advanced reader copies and I’m currently 
reading, To Dare a Seal, Sarah Jane Stone.
What is your favorite quote? It’s only work if you’d rather be doing something 
What advice would you give to your younger self? Have more patience. I don’t 
like to say good things come to those who wait, because I believe good things 
come to those who get out there and work for it, lol. But more patience is what I 
would have told myself. 
What advice would you give to aspiring writers? Surround yourself with positive, 
like minded people, write every day, take courses to improve your craft and

This is the second book in the Playing for Keeps Series and while the characters overlap a bit the stories are completely independent and can be read alone. This story is just as panty-melting hot as book one, maybe even hotter!

So it's the same situation but a different couple, this one is Tyler Mackenzie "Mac" and Jess Gray as Mac brings Jess to the Dude Ranch for a week to prove they are meant to be together. This is a really quick read that takes less than an hour from start to finish.  I am a little disappointed in this book though as it literally mimicked book one of the series, just different sex situations. While I know that there are three guys who planned this "second chances" adventure it seems like the author could have shaken things up a bit.

Still a good book and overall a good series.

 This was a really sexy, fun, quick read! It is my first book by Cathryn Fox and I will be back for more! I really liked this concept of seeing if you can "catch the one who got away" - it is romantic to think that a man wanted you enough to set up a little trip to seduce you. In a totally non stalker way, these guys in this story seriously just want to show the women of their dreams that they are meant for each other, swoon! There is plenty of passion in this book! Yeah, you will need a few extra pairs of panties.. Cause they will be melted off!!
