Aimee Styles died. That’s the end of the story. Or so she believed. She needs medical attention 

and to do so, she must trust the doctor of the Wolfe Creek not to tell her secret to those she’s 

trying to protect and he’s intrigued by her, instantly attracted to her. Jake has no idea what to do 

with the woman in front of her: help her or let her loved ones who have been grieving her death 

that she is alive. Considering that this is a third novel in a series and have not had the chance to 

read none of them before hand, I’m still on the fence on whether or not I’m missing some key 

elements. I’m certain some would have been important such as more details on what happened 

two years ago in Wolfe Creek and its inhabitants; however, these information don’t detract on 

the style of writing of the author, Kaylie Newell, which I must admit is a first time read for me, 

who has managed to grab my attention and kept me coming back for more when I found myself 

wondering what I could do with my spare time. I enjoyed the storyline itself but still believe I was 

missing a few key elements that were probably mentioned in the first two books in the series, 

but does not ruin the romance between Aimee and Jake in this third novel.
