Step F*@k Book One by Scarlett Ward
Up In Smoke (Crossing The Line Series) Tessa Bailey
First Impression~~ Oh, Tessa Bailey you sure know how to deliver those Pure. Alpha. Males! This book will rock your socks off and Connor Bannon will have you turning these pages faster than ever as you read his and Erin's Story!
Synopsis
Never start a fire you can't control...
Connor Bannon is supposed to be dead. Dishonorably discharged from the Navy SEALs, he's spent the last two years working as a street enforcer in Brooklyn for his cousin's crime ring. Through a twist of fate, he's now in Chicago, working undercover to bust criminals. But when a cute little arsonist joins the team-all combat boots, tiny jean shorts, and hot-pink hair-Connor's notorious iron control slips.
Erin "she's getting away" O'Dea knows two things. She hates authority. And... Nope, that's it. When she's forced to operate on the "right" side of the law, her fear of being confined and controlled blazes to the surface. The last thing she expects is a control freak like Connor to soothe her when she needs it most. Worse, something behind the sexy ex-soldier's eyes ignites a dangerous inferno of desire. One that invites Erin to play with fire. And one that could get them both killed...
Overall, I give this book a solid 4.5 Stars, Tessa Bailey delivers a sexy, sassy, steamy Hot book with a great story about ex-Navy SEAL & feisty arsonist who work together in Chicago to clean up the criminal empire. Immediately, there is chemistry between Conner & Erin yet with Erin's traumatic past the move from Attraction to sex took quite a while...but oh the build up..let's just say it's both blazing hot and heartwarming at the same time - the combination makes the book a non-stop read!
I did not read the first book of this series, and I was able to fully enjoy this book! This is my first book by Tessa Bailey and I admit, she will be on my one-click list from here on out! Up In Smoke is a well-rounded story, with complex yet believable characters, chemistry that is orgasmic, and a mix of emotions to keep the reader fully enthralled in the story.

Flawed Heart: House of Obsidian by Bella Jewel
Alpha Book Club's Review
Five stars, five huge, fat golden stars! I loved this story so much. It was heartbreaking but so much fun to read. I loved Belle and Max’s story so much, it was a heartbreaking story but I loved reading it.
Belle and Max were college sweethearts, Max was the love and Belle’s life and Max felt the same way. That all changed in the blink of an eye when Max witnesses an accident and it changes him. He starts drinking, gambling and doing drugs. After a nasty fight one night, he tells Belle he doesn’t love her and she needs to leave. But what Max doesn’t know is that Belle is pregnant. But unwilling to continue to watch her husband fall down a deeper hole, she leaves. Five years later she comes back into town, because her mother has cancer and she wants to help her out. And although she’s more than happy to help her mom out, she’s dreading being in the same town as her husband. Not to mention she has their daughter, which he has no clue about. After they run into each other one night at his club feelings come flooding back for both. He wants Belle back and as much as she wants him back she’s still unsure. This story is about heartbreak and a second chance at love. I fell in love with both characters and their stories and while it is a heartbreaking story there is a happy ending and it looks like there will be a second book.

Sloth by Ella James
Dear A. –
I am writing to express my gratitude for your gift. There are no sufficient words, but please accept my sincerest thank you.
Yours, R.
She writes me back. I didn’t expect that.
She tells me she’s a lover of chicken pizza and video games, a hot sorority girl with the nickname Sloth. She wants to know something about me in return. She says I owe her.
This is how she saves my life. She doesn’t even know it. We’ve never even seen each other. But I need a reason. Just one reason to continue. She becomes mine.
The anonymity is good. She doesn’t need to know me, but I need her kindness. We both live our lives: a letter here, a post card there. For three years, I escape my demons. And then one day I’m pulled back in.
I’ve resigned myself to what I know is coming. Until the girl I’m spanking gives her safe word: Sloth.
And then the lie I’m living starts to unravel.

Sloth is an erotic romance. It’s a dark mystery, so if you’re sad, read another book. This one is real, and hard. Not that kind of hard. (That kind of hard, too). Consider yourself warned.
