Bittersweet. That is the feeling when you finish Trust. If I could I would rate this book 10 stars -- Logan and Tate will always have a place in my heart as the first couple who opened my eyes to a brand new genre. If you are new to the m/m genre Logan and Tate will grab you and keep you -- their love story is truly like no other.
This is the continuation and conclusion of Logan Mitchell and Tate Morrison's story and oh what a story it is..Please note: If you are new to this series you need to read: Try and then Take first in order for Trust to make the most sense.
Logan and Tate are just drawn together and this story shows just how powerful that draw is to each of them..
"There's something about you. In the way you are. It pulls me in, Logan. I can't imagine knowing you and not feeling it." -- Tate
Synopsis:
TRUST – verb: to believe in the reliability, truth, or strength of another.
Up until now, Logan Mitchell has never had much of a reason to trust anyone.
Having struggled with a self-identity crisis throughout college, he’s spent the years since then creating a sophisticated facade to present to the world.
It’s an armor he thought was impenetrable—until he met Tate Morrison.
The gorgeous, headstrong bartender he’d sat across from only months ago has taken a tight hold of his heart, and Logan is discovering that it’s time to let go.
It’s time to let someone inside.
After years of placing his dreams on hold for his family, Tate has finally chosen to do what makes him happy and follow his heart.
The one thing he never would’ve imagined was that it would lead him into the arms of a man—and not just any man—the striking, never-takes-no-for-an-answer Logan Mitchell.
Tate has fallen hard, and as his world is turned on its axis and they move forward together, he finds his life becoming more entwined with the confident, successful lawyer.
Even though neither man expected the other, it’s time to trust in their relationship—but not everything comes so easily…
"You're the best thing that has ever happened to me. And I never stood a change. I love you, and I'm not letting you go. Not now, not ever. I can be stubborn too. Got it?" ~ Logan
So-- How to sum up these guys:
Logan: He is a smart-mouthed, sexy as sin, lawyer who up until he met Tate didn't do the dating game and he rarely was with the same person twice. That was until he met a sexy bartender at his local haunt -- and from that day forward Logan's life changed. He was going to have Tate if only he could convince him to Try something new.. and as we well know by this book, Tate not only Tried but he Loved. Yes, Logan found his Person when he met Tate.
"His motto of "try, take, and top" had changed. Oh, he'd tried Tate all right, and they'd both done a helluva lot of taking, but for once in his life, Logan didn't feel the desire to win. He didn't need to come out on top. What he wanted was Tate's trust his absolute trust" -- Thoughts from Logan.
Tate Morrison: Sexy Bartender with a Catholic upbringing and a recent divorcee -- dating a man was the farthest thing from his mind. That is until he meets Logan and the persistent Lawyer who is like a dog with a bone convinces Tate that he just might like it.. if only he would try it. This is a huge risk for Tate but he takes it and together Logan and Him deal with the fall out. Yes, Tate Morrison not only agrees to go on a date with Logan but in the end he ends up falling in love with Logan and cannot imagine his life with anyone else. It is quite simple -- Logan is His. End of Story.
"Tate could remember every single detail from that first meeting. From the confused way he'd felt and responded, to exactly what Logan had been wearing. It was unbelievable to think back now and realize that, in that precise moment, he'd met the one person who would turn out to be most essential to his life. Who would've guessed it? Two people from totally different walks of life colliding and having that one moment" ~ Thoughts from Tate.
What started as a dare to just Try something new has now concluded in something raw and powerful -- something life changing.
"I Love you," he said, and as Logan Looked at him, he reached for his hands. " I had no idea when you first sat down across from me that night -- no idea what I'd been missing," Tate whispered. "It was you."
Oh, and did I mention this book is HOT? Yes, it is very hot as Logan and Tate continue to explore and learn each others likes and dislikes and as their connection grows the heat just keeps rising!
Ella Frank has wrapped this series up wonderfully and my only complaint is.. I never wanted the story to end. I truly love these guys and knowing this is the end of their story is very bittersweet. I am just happy I was able to go on this journey with them. Thank you Ella for sharing these guys with us!
