Ten years

It’s been ten years since he ripped my heart out and left me broken and destroyed.

Ten years of rebuilding, of moving on.

But do you ever really move on from your first love?

Now faced with the past, how do we deal with the future?

Colin

Ten years.

She left me a hollow man. No one has captured my heart since.

Ten years spent focusing on my career and having fun.

That is until she reappears in my life.

Can I convince her to give us a second chance?

What do you say about yourself? Aren’t we supposed to write these in third person? Oh well, here I go! I have been writing and reading since I was able to pick up a pen and read a book. I can’t even begin to list the amounts of book that I’ve devoured over the course of my life; from the Babysitter’s Club to R.L.Stein to the classics and the novels of my degrees. I have spent countless hours between the covers of classics during my undergraduate and graduate degrees from Western Connecticut State University, resulting in a BA English: Comparative Literature and a MA English: Professional Writing.
Recently, I have been focusing both my writings and my readings in erotica, BDSM and contemporary romance. And no, Fifty Shades of Grey did not get me on the BDSM bandwagon. If anything it opened the idea up more to me, but alas I have my own opinions on the trilogy.
I am trying to focus my writings on the emotional aspects of the erotic world, the emotional bondage of BDSM. I am interested in what makes people want to be dominant or submissive, the connection, etc. But I do like to read about a good flogging and bondage story too, the smuttier the better. :)
I live in New England with a wonderful family that keeps me busy when I am not at my day job or writing. I hope you enjoy your stay.

ALPHA BOOK CLUB REVIEW

“He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me closer for a kiss.  A different feel to this one than he had been giving me.  This wasn’t filled with need or desire; this kiss was tender, sweet and soft.”

Five stars.  This book had everything you could ask for in one book.  Hot alpha male, Hot BDSM scenes, a strong female character and well hot sex.  This story was a lot of fun to read and I was instantly sucked into the pages.

Briana has sworn off men and any idea of a love life after her ex left her abruptly and suddenly about 10 years ago.  She’s now thrown herself into work for New York’s hockey team, and she loves her job, did I mention that her ex Colin is one of the star players?  And although she hasn’t had a run in with him yet, she knows it’s bound to happen.  Colin, the star hockey player and super Dom in the BDSM world is missing Briana and when he sees her one day, he knows he has to do everything in his power to win her back.  The minute Briana sees Colin again after so many years, she knows that she can’t deny him or the way she feels when he’s near her.  She tries to fight it but it doesn’t work.  They try to make their relationship work, but as usual there’s lots of interferences.  Can their relationship make it out alive??  Although this is the third book in the series, it can be read as a stand alone.

In The Scene, Roxy has brought us to Miami where the temperature is hot, the sand is warm, the drinks are cool, and the men are hot! Yes, it's the perfect scene to host Nikki & Xavier!
I enjoy every single book from Roxy, her Serials are one of the few I still read...why? Because she knows how to bring you a story with an intriguing plot, well developed characters, lots of smoldering sexy time, mystery and usually a mind twist that catches even the best off track! So even if you have to wait a bit between the installments -- trust me it is 100% worth it!!

Pageflex Persona [document: PRS0000026_00037]

BLURB
There’s a single defining moment within every skater.
It lasts only a second. Two if you're good.
Three if you’re really good.
It’s the moment you’re in the air, your board somewhere beneath you, and nothing but wind surrounds you.
It’s the feeling of being airborne.

The sixteen-year-old version of me would’ve said it was the greatest feeling in the world.
Then at seventeen, I had my son.
And every single second became a defining moment. Even the ones that consisted of heartbreak when his mother left us.

Seventeen. Single. Dad.
That’s what my life became.
Yet, every day, I managed to find that feeling of being airborne.
Or at least I convinced myself I did.
But I lied—to myself and to everyone around me.
Until she showed up; Tanned skin, raven dark hair, and eyes the color of emeralds.

You know what sucks about being in the air?
Coming down from the high.
Sometimes you land on the board and nail the trick.
Then kick, push, and coast away.
Other times you fall.
You fall hard.
And those are the times when it’s not as easy to get back up, dust off your pads and try again.
Especially when the girl with the emerald eyes becomes your drug...
And you become her poison.

Sexy young couple kissing and playing in bed. TakeMeTease button excerpt
Time to man up. The creak of the stairs echoed his uneasiness as he climbed to the second floor. As open as the first, it would easily transform into a secondary dining room or banquet area. At the moment, however, it was serving as storage. He could hear Peyton rummaging through something around the corner from a huge cabinet that blocked his view. Stealing himself against the chaos racing through his brain, he stepped into the room. And stood there, dumbfounded all over again, barely resisting the urge to glare down at his crotch with a what the fuck are you thinking? It seemed nothing had changed—if he was in Peyton’s presence, he was hard and hurting; that’s all there was to it. “You look just the way I remember you,” he finally said. Peyton muttered something that sounded like “At least you remember,” but he couldn’t be sure. When the silence threatened to crack his teeth, he was gritting them so hard, he tried again. “Looks like the place needs work. When you planning to open?” Stiff spine, no more muttering, but the box she was kneeling beside was getting a cavity search like nobody’s business. Gabe switched to his don’t-fuck-with-me cop tone. “What are you doing here, Peyton?” Peyton didn’t even flinch. This was definitely not the girl he’d known in Memphis. “That much should be obvious,” she said. Metal clinked a sharp accompaniment to her words. “In Claywater?” He stepped forward carefully, fighting the instinct to pick her up and shake her. She always had ripped his control to tiny fucking shreds. “Why here? Why now? You’re a long way from Memphis, baby.” Now that got a reaction. Peyton shot up and around, her expression and her tone both dripping venom. “Don’t you ever call me that again.” She sucked in a deep breath, and he could almost hear the rattle of emotion in her chest. What was it? Anger, certainly, but then what—pain, like him? Disgust? At him or herself? Because unless he missed his guess, there was hunger in the mix, a hunger that matched his own. “I don’t have to explain anything to you, Gabe. You lost that right a long time ago, if you ever had it to begin with, so don’t bother questioning me. I have as much right to be here as anyone else.” “Stalking me, baby?” This time he used the word deliberately. The need in his gut felt like a bomb just waiting for the fuse to burn down. He had to find out why she was here and then get out before it was too late. The raspberry Peyton blew filled the air between them with her scorn. “Sure, I’m following you. Right. Like I knew where you lived after you walked out on me without so much as a good-bye note.” Her body tightened, her face going blank of all emotion, all reaction, and her control—such a sharp contrast to the way he felt right now—shook him to the core. She jerked her head in a terse negative. “No, Gabe. This is my place. It’s time for you to leave.” A tiny smile curled the corner of her mouth. “Again.” Too late had been reached. His body responded to her challenge without thought, without restraint. He stalked her, silent and deadly, his muscles readying for battle—and looking forward to every minute of it, if his erection was any indication. Each step had Peyton backing away in equal measure, although she didn’t give him the satisfaction of fear. Or words. Only the movement of her body spoke.

Writing has been my passion since childhood, but like many writers, life got in the way. After earning a BA in English Literature, I married and started a family. But the worlds and characters that swirled through my mind just wouldn’t go away, and at a particularly difficult time in my life, I picked up pen and paper (or laptop) and tried to release some of that difficulty onto the page. I’ve been writing ever since. Now I’m a member of Romance Writers of America, run an accountability blog to help writers reach their goals, and am pursuing publication with the same passion I feel for writing. Nothing pleases me more than sharing the stories of my heart with you, the reader, and I hope, in some small way, these stories will touch your heart too. button author links
