Synopsis:
Michael Valente...
My father was the Underboss of an organized crime family.
He was murdered when I was a teenager leaving me broken. My mother died in a
tragic accident, her death annihilated me. My life was in shambles until Victor
Pastore, one of New York’s most notorious gangsters and my late father’s best
friend, recruited me to work for him.
Everyone expected me to walk in my father’s shadow, to be
the prodigal son, the next big thing to hit the mob. I was torn between filling
those expectations and walking the straight line my mother wished I had.
Nothing made sense and I felt as if I was just passing through life.
The only beacon of light in my otherwise dark world was the
one girl that was off limits to me. The one girl who could bring me to my knees
consuming my mind, body and soul.
She’s the sweetest temptation I’ve ever known and the most
illicit.
Nikki Pastore....
My father’s a gangster. My boyfriend’s is the king of New
York’s nightclubs. I am often labeled as Vic’s daughter or Rico’s girl, never
just Nikki. I struggle for people to acknowledge me for the woman I am and not
for the men in my life. I’m fighting a losing battle.
There is only one person who sees me for me, my Mikey.
He’s wild.
He’s reckless.
He’s hot as hell.
He’s completely unattainable, but oh so tempting.

ALPHA BOOK CLUB REVIEW
“She didn’t say a word, but a moment later I felt her arm around my waist and her head fall gently on my chest. I smiled slightly draping my arm around her shoulder and wondered if there was ever a time in my life if I had fallen asleep with a genuine smile on my face.”
5 sexy thrilling, fun stars!! This book was intense and so much fun to read. And it’s about the mob, this book had me at mob!! I love a sexy gangster/mobster.

Okay so I don’t want to give too much away but this story is all kinds of sexy and thrilling all rolled into one. Michael is one sexy mob boss and Nikki is a tough as nails girl, their sparks are magnetic and charming. You can’t help but love them both and sit on the edge of your seat as you read this book!! Great first book in the series!!! I’m definitely hooked!!

INTERVIEW WITH JANINE INFANTE BOSCO
BY MELISSA
I had the pleasure of interviewing this amazing author as well as read this wonderful book :)
Tell us a little about yourself and your background?
My name is Janine and I have two children, Joseph who is four and Paul is 8 months old. I live in New York, born and raised in Brooklyn then moved to Staten Island when I was a teenager. I have always had a passion for writing and when I was eighteen I dabbled in a few screenplays. I love using my creativity as an outlet whether it be painting, crafting or writing. It wasn't until the big 3-0 approached that I decided to go back to my writing. I think the fact that I was turning thirty made me reflect and decide to write my first novel.
What were you like at school?
I was a shy kid in elementary school and kept good grades. I veered off in high school but managed to turn it around and graduate on time after making up 14 credits in my senior year. I went to college for a paralegal degree.
Were you good at English?
It was one of my favorite subjects.
Which writers inspire you?
I've been introduced to so many new authors since writing my own novel that continue to serve as an inspiration to me. I think Colleen Hoover is an amazing author the fact that she started as an INDIE author and now has a movie deal for Ugly Love and then turns around to open the Bookworm Box is just amazing.
What genre are your books?
I write contemporary romance novels.
What draws you to this genre?
I'm all for the happily ever after but I love a story that portrays realism. I like the build up of a relationship and then showing that through all love can prevail.
So, what have you written?
The Riverdale Series which includes Pieces, Broken Pieces, and Fitting The Pieces. Jake's Journal: The Riverdale Companion is a novella full of journal entries written by the main character Jake.
I have just released the first novel in my newest series called Illicit Temptations which can be read as a stand alone.
Where can we buy or see them?
All my books are currently exclusive to Amazon and are enrolled in Kindle Unlimited.
Pieces:
Broken Pieces:
Fitting The Pieces:
Jake's Journal: The Riverdale Series Companion
Illicit Temptations:
Let's talk about writing....
How much research do you do?
I did extensive research on addiction and rehab for Fitting The Pieces and when it came to Illicit Temptations I watched several Mafia documentaries on A&E to get my story as real as I could.
Why do you write?
Besides the fact that I truly love writing, I write because there are so many stories floating around in this world. Some of them ugly and some of them beautiful but in the end they are real things that people are faced with. I try to find the beauty in someone's story and convey it to the best of my ability. I'd love for you to pick up my book and say to yourself Wow, I can totally relate to this character.
Do you aim for a set amount of words/pages per day?
I try to but sometimes the story is flowing so well I will write 6000 words one day and the next day I'll struggle to get to 500.
How long on average does it take you to write a book?
I wrote my series, three full length novels, in less than a year. But the funny thing is when I was finished writing The Riverdale Series I sat back for a moment and said to myself, now I just have to get people to read them. So when I was writing Illicit Temptations it took much longer because in between writing and my personal life I was still trying to get word out about the books I've already published.
Do you ever get writer’s Block?
Yes it's a horror.
Any tips on how to get through the dreaded writer’s block?
I don't force the words to come to me. I take a break giving myself a chance to recharge my batteries. Music helps, so does reviewing my pinterest board.
If this book is part of a series, tell us a little about it?
Originally Illicit Temptations started off as just one book a complete Stand Alone. As I started to write Michael and Nikki's story took shape the secondary characters began to develop. I think it would be a complete shame if the readers who read Illicit Temptations don't get to read Anthony and Adrianna's story too. The Tempted Series tells two love stories Nikki & Mikey in Illicit Temptations and Adrianna and Anthony's in Forbidden Temptations. Michael and Nicole are children of the mob, their fathers both fall victim to the mafia leaving them both broken and fractured. Can love prevail in the life they were born into?
What are your thoughts on writing a book series.
The Riverdale Series needed to be more than one book to properly tell this family's story. It was a gamble because each book bled into the other and have to be read in order but for me to tell you their story and give the characters justice there was no other option for me.
What do you do to get book reviews?
I send my books to bloggers and give out copies at takeovers.
What are your thoughts on good/bad reviews?
You can't please everyone. I received many critical reviews for Pieces pertaining to editing and grammar. It was my debut novel, should it have been better? Of course. But at the end of the day I look over all the reviews and despite the grammatical errors the story was still told and I would hope that counts for something.
Why do you think that other well written books just don’t sell?
Not enough exposure. There are so many authors so many books a new author is easy to brush aside when a readers favorite is producing three books a year. Wouldn't you choose your favorite authors new release over one you never heard of?
Let's talk about your interests...
Do you read much and if so who are your favourite authors.
I love love love to read. I'm a fan of Joana Wylde, Kylie Scott, Colleen Hoover, Terri-Anne Browning, Christina Lauren, Jill Shalvis, Heidi McLaughlin, Kristen Ashley and Carly Phillips.
For your own reading, do you prefer ebooks or traditional paper/hard back books?
I prefer E-Books, my paperbacks are to pretty to touch!
What book/s are you reading at present?
Kristen Ashley's Rock Chick
How do you relax?
Curling up with a good book and an iced coffee.
FIVE RANDOM
Favorite food? Sushi
Favorite candy? Sour Patch Kids
Favorite wine? Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio
Which actor/actress would you like to see playing the lead character from your most recent book?
Alyssa Milano
Favorite body part on opposite sex?
Arms that you can hold onto!
In Closing, please give us some more info on your book(s) and where we can find you....
