I thought he was my antidote, but it turns out that he’s just my new drug of choice.
Before him, it was heroin. And then they put me here against my will.

Tegan O’Connell, heroin addict.
Asher Hughes, Rehab Counselor
This book alternates chapters . Past is Tegan’s fall into addiction. And the present, Tegan’s journey trying to beat addiction. I was skeptical when I saw that that was the way it was written, thought it would be confusing. Wasn’t confusing and it was a great read.
Tegan’s parents did the hardest thing I think any parent would have to do with a child that is battling an addiction. Will the time spent in rehab work?
The relationship between counselor and patient forms. Will it destroy Tegans progress with recovery, or help her to heal and become whole again? I don’t want to go into too much detail, I won’t ruin the story for you.
