What an amazing duo: reuniting two of my guilty pleasures, mafia/romances, which are 

dark and gruesome, and step-brother/romances, incredibly taboo considering the fact 

that many jump to the conclusion that there is a blood link (I've never seen a link to 

date). Ruthless was nothing less than what I expected from the combination of these two 

genres rolled into one, an amazing thrill from start to end. My only complaint: I wish there 

were more, but I know that's my greedy side rearing its ugly side. This was my first time 

reading a novel from Alexis Abbott and quite frankly, I loved every second of it, how 

every factor came into play at the perfect moment and if I'm really being honest, it was 

sexy, alluring and so hot, I was glad the temperature was cool, otherwise I would have 

had quite some problems.
