Megan and Landon are hot. Simple. Effective. Quite frankly it’s the only way I can describe this
duo – the chemistry between the two of them is mind blowing since you’d swear the sparks
were flying off the pages. The story is vivid behind your eyes, it is especially full of twists and
suspense and although they are short stories, this 4 part collection is roughly 110 pages total,
they still contain enough descriptions that readers enjoy a complete storyline and characters
who aren’t afraid to go after what they want. Julia Swift has created a series, which contains 8
parts, that isn’t just about the couple, but also about envy, jealousy, murder and trust. The only
drawback that I find with this series, which isn’t limited to this one, I’ve noticed it with many other
short story novels that have been created to be serials, is that they are meant to be read one
after the other; meaning you can’t really start from book 3 and continue the series from that
point, readers will have missed many important information, if not get confused and frustrated.
However, this is a perfect read for any reader looking to pass the time when they have little time
to spare but need their reading fix.
