BLURRED LINES
Lauren Layne
Releasing Aug 25th, 2015

In a novel that’s perfect for fans of Abbi Glines and Jessica Sorensen, USA Today bestselling author Lauren Layne delivers a sexy take on the timeless question: Can a guy and a girl really be “just friends”?

When Parker Blanton meets Ben Olsen during her freshman year of college, the connection is immediate—and platonic. Six years later, they’re still best friends, sharing an apartment in Portland’s trendy Northwest District as they happily settle into adult life. But when Parker’s boyfriend dumps her out of the blue, she starts to wonder about Ben’s no-strings-attached approach to dating. The trouble is, even with Ben as her wingman, Parker can’t seem to get the hang of casual sex—until she tries it with him.

The arrangement works perfectly . . . at first. The sex is mind-blowing, and their friendship remains as solid as ever, without any of the usual messy romantic entanglements. But when Parker’s ex decides he wants her back, Ben is shocked by a fierce stab of possessiveness. And when Ben starts seeing a girl from work, Parker finds herself plagued by unfamiliar jealousy. With their friendship on the rocks for the first time, Parker and Ben face an alarming truth: Maybe they can’t go back. And maybe, deep down, they never want to.

ALPHA BOOK CLUB REVIEW

“Sometimes when I look back at all those years ago, I’ll have a split-second of regret that I didn’t act fast-that I didn’t snatch up the best girl I’ve ever met when I had the chance.  Because I can’t now.  She’s someone else’s girl.  That, and I’m too afraid I’d mess up the best thing that ever happened to me.”

5 STARS!!I fell in love with this book from page one!!  It flowed so nicely and while there were serious parts, there were funny parts as well.  I don’t think there was one part that I didn’t like.

Parker and Ben have been best friends for six years.  They never crossed the friends line.  Besides Parker has a boyfriend named Lance and well Ben is a complete womanizer, hell bent on staying single.  But that all changes when Parker gets dumped by Lance, her boyfriend of 5 years.  Trying not to grieve over her loss, she decides it’s time to live life on the wild side and have no strings attached sex with a man, any man really.  But when she realizes she doesn’t want to be with a stranger, she’d rather sleep with someone she knows…..she turns to Ben.  They make a pact that they’ll be “friends with benefits” and it wouldn’t change their relationship as best friends.  It’s all fun and games until they realize that things are changing, feelings are showing up and now Parker’s ex Lance shows back up unexpectedly throwing a wrench into their arrangement.  This is a stand alone, with no cliff hanger and a HEA.
