Dylan Turner wasn’t looking for love, all he needed was someone to warm his bed and be gone by morning. Baseball was what made his life worth living. The hunger to play, the need to live and breathe baseball—it was ingrained in his blood and veins, making his heart thump, beat for beat. It wasn’t until he met Paige that everything changed. She became part of the game, only it was a game he never wanted to end. Paige’s love for baseball was ingrained in her before she was even born. She never thought she would find love in the form of a baseball player though but that all changes when she meets her new schools first baseman. Was Paige really ready for this roller coaster ride? When the count is full, will what they have survive?

ALPHA BOOK CLUB REVIEW

Title: Full Count
Author: Cori Williams
Genre: Sports Romance

“I pushed open the front door, my eyes immediately seeking out that head of sandy brown hair.  It was like we were magnets whenever we were together and I instantly spotted her, tucked into a corner with her legs crossed, sipping on a drink, and looking bored out of her mind.  That wouldn’t last for long.”

4 stars!  I thought this book was fun and sexy in all the right places!  The characters were fun and the story had it’s compelling moments.

Paige Brinton felt an itch to leave Florida after graduating high school, so she headed off to college. Her roommate is the complete opposite of what she hoped for. And suddenly guys are paying attention to her, now that her protective best friend,Jake, isn't around. She jumps head first into a relationship, but not with the guy she feels pulled to like a magnet. Dylan Turner doesn't seem like first boyfriend material, but there's just something about him she can't resist, no matter who gets hurt in the process.

New Adult 17+ Mature Content due to sexual situations and language.

Paige is a daddy’s girl and she’s ready to go to a different college somewhere out of Florida.  She’s a huge tomboy, but that’s because she’s grown up with her dad for most of her life, and when life gets tough he uses baseball terms to help her cope.  At her new college she meets Kitty her new quirky very girly friend.  Kitty wants to go shopping she she calls her brother to come pick them up.  Her brother Chris shows up with Dylan, their “adopted” brother.  As soon as Paige and Dylan meet, there’s attraction immediately.  Despite Kitty warning Paige about Dylan’s man whoring ways Paige is willing to look past that and try to have a relationship.  But will he survive being with one woman??  This book was super cute and definitely hot in all the right places!!!

I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author for an honest review. Over all I give this book 4 stars.

This was a fun book. It has all the makings for a light weekend read. Innocent girl (Paige) that has never been in a relationship heads off to college. She meets the bad boy (Dylan) with a troubled past who never wants to be in a relationship, until he meets Paige.
Paige is an only child raised by her loving father after the death of her mom at an early age. She grows up a tomboy playing baseball and hanging out with her best friend Jake. She has never had a real girlfriend and has always been a part of Jake’s life. Deciding that she needs to make some life changes Paige leaves her home in Florida to attend college six hours away in South Carolina. Paige’s roommate, Kitty is her opposite. Experienced, poised and self confident. Kitty takes Paige under her wing with the first order of business, shopping for a new wardrobe. Kitty’s introduces Paige to her older brother, Chris and his roommate Dylan on the shopping trip. Chris and Dylan both play baseball at the college. After seeing the reaction that Dylan and Paige have with one another she is quick to tell Paige all about what a bad boy Dylan is and to just stay away from him.
Dylan was abandoned by his mother right after his birth. Growing up in one foster home after another, his only constant was a love of baseball. Never feeling loved as a child, he has grown into a man that doesn’t want or need a relationship. All he wants is a tumble in bed and a quick goodbye. Something changes when he meets Paige.
Author, Cori Williams tells the story of this young couple as they fall in love with each other.  How things don’t always turn out the way you plan, and how things have a way of working out in the end. I did feel like I read this book before or at least something very similar. It is a quick fun read. Nothing deep or thought provoking, but an escape that can be read while sitting on the beach, flying someplace or just when you want to be entertained.
